Alexander Roastery, named after owner Patrick Passak son, has kept 1000s of Sydneysiders well caffeinated over the years. They had a hard time positioning their business in a saturated coffee market. Losing out to competitors with mass cult followings, a track record of supplying high quality products, and an overall better purchasing experience are some reasons why new clients are slipping through their fingers.

The challenge: Alexander Roastery brand position is focused on a traditional approach that needs to change in order to compete with other popular coffee suppliers. Mary, Patrick's wife, quickly became overwhelmed with all of their social media and online communications and wants to find a way to simplify them so that they can focus on growing their business.

Our delivery: It was great working with Alexander Roastery to define their vision. We chose the colour of the guava fruit to represent honesty and support, something that will make your day better. We started by updating the logo with the goal of making it feel premium and ownable, with the final logo abbreviation being a coffee bean, this was the a-ha moment with our client.

The key visual on the coffee bag packaging is a nod to the beautiful coffee plantations of Columbia, Brazil and Peru, something that felt unique, but subtle.

A strong, compelling story and a visual navigation with high-resolution photos were created for the website.

The outcome? Sales of Alexander Roastery coffee products have increased by 38% since the introduction of the new brand. People are in love at the very first sip.
